IVF#2.5: One day at a time (11dpo)

With shaking hands, I POAS'ed this morning. I almost didn't, I chickened out yesterday because we left my mom's house at 4:30am for the flight back home and I just couldn't handle the coordination and stress. I didn't want to be all bummed out while flying home - I already don't love flying enough as it is - and yesterday was only 10dpo, so it easily could have been negative either way.

And dun dun DUN....here are the results from this morning:

I think a pretty definite positive, no? The line isn't as dark as the control, but it's only 11dpo and I've seen way lighter lines on other ladies pee sticks (yes, analyzing other women's urine-soaked home tests is a hobby of mine) result in good betas. I'll continue to POAS for the next few days and my beta is on Wednesday (12/30) morning, so the science experiment will continue.

Color me cautiously optimistic. I've been here twice before, once with kick-ass betas (299 at 15dpo, 2,087 at 20dpo) and lost both beans. I'm a little afraid of a chemical pregnancy here, though I haven't experienced that before, at least to my knowledge (I'm not woofing, Gods, I promise!). So, a positive is certainly not a slam dunk for me at this point. Just taking it one step at a time...this is a good start.

  9. Congratulations!! FWIW, my two early losses showed nothing on the sticks at 11dpo and 12dpo sticks were very, barely-there light.

    Hoping for you!

  10. Isn't it impossible to stick with cautiously optimistic once you have allowed yourself to believe it is what you want it to be? Go with it! It looks good to me, and the other 8 people who have already commented, so you aren't seeing things. I hope your confirmation is swift and certain.

Happy New Year a little early,
    Lisa

  13. Congratulations! That is a nice dark BFP! Darker than mine at 11 dpo I think (but a lot like my 10 dpo!). One day at a time... I am really happy that this IVF got you this far and I am cautiously optimistic that each day will bring more good news. I have my fingers crossed for you.
