Luckily, I have exciting news! This is kind of like watching The Transporter in slow motion. There's action, though of the geriatric variety, but I ain't complaining. At this morning's ultrasound, I was girding myself for possibly having lost one of the 3 follies seen on Thursday and maybe be down to 2. That's just the way my ovaries roll. But guess what?? There were not 2, not 3, but FOUR follies this a.m.!! Four happens to be my lucky number, btw -- it's so symmetrical and even.
Here are the stats -- of course, assuming that the largest on Thursday is now the largest today could be incorrect. It's possible that the one that was largest on Thursday stalled and is still 15.5mm and the others surged ahead. That's what my obsessive, ready-for-failure brain will worry about until ER and the fert report.
| Thursday | Today |
| 15.5mm | 17mm |
| 13mm | 16.5mm |
| 12mm | 15.5mm |
| not seen | 12mm |
| E2 levels | |
| 694 | 987 |
At this rate, maybe they'll stim me until Valentine's Day and I can get 10 follies! Or maybe until the Fourth of July and get 20! Oh OK, I won't get greedy. I'll settle for MLK Day and go for 7.
Christmas travel plan feasiblity: T-minus 4 days. I have to trigger by Tuesday night to be able to get in an ER and 3-day ET before we fly to visit family. As we've discussed, the eggies are the priority so I'll happily cancel or postpone if things are looking good. But, I'm on the cusp of being able to accomplish both, fingers crossed!
This is great news! I'm very excited for you. And aren't you glad your meds are covered by insurance?! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Oh this is awesome. Well done, Lara's ovaries.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything keeps growing as it should, and that your ER goes smoothly.
Hooray! I was really hoping for better news this time around. So last U/S on Tues, trigger, ER & ET!? That's awesome! I'm so glad another follie showed up to the party! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! That is awesome. See we just had to wait a bit. I hope the continue to grow and you get to trigger and still go visit your family.
ReplyDeleteOMG! YAY for your follies! I was waiting for this update Lara and I'm so happy to hear about the fantastic four! This is just such good news and I'm very hopeful for you :)
ReplyDeleteWhat chaos with the travel plans ... I hope that you are able to trigger in the next day or two. Do you go back again tomorrow?
4 is an EXCELLENT number! I'm so happy that your follicles are growing!
ReplyDeleteSOrry I have MIA. I was so happy to find out that your follies ( some of which have been hiding their light under a bushel) are in the spotlight and the orchestra is playing a celebratory tune. Gosh where did that come from? what an odd metaphor. Never mind - I am a frustrated actress it's probably more about me than you. I am just jumping for joy for you. It seems that the question I keep asking everyone is - how many to transfer? not because I regret doing one but just so I can take a non scientific poll. I know that you told me but I can't remember! I hope it all works very smoothly with the ER and ET and trip. Very exciting!
ReplyDeletelots of love,
Claire:)xoxoxoxooxo
BTW - 4 is my favorite number for the same reason!
ReplyDeleteYay for another one! Four! Hope you get them out and back in ASAP!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic news! And just because I suggested (in a previous comment) that I was hoping for 4 follies - ahem - I won't take credit! ;) Okay, so we're pulling for you that the news just keeps getting better. It's GOT to! You're on a roll and I'm sure your holiday plans will fall into place too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that things are looking up for you!! Four is a great number! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat news! Hope you get to do both ET and travel!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely news!! 4 is a great number. It seems that your ovaries just need a little time to marinate in all the meds before they spring forth with follicles. I had to laugh out loud at the thought of you stimming all the way to MLK. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for 4 fabulous follies!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so behind on this news, but that is freaking fantastic!!! 4 is a perfect number :). And haha, you cracked me up with your hypothetical stim schedule...too funny :).
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, hoping for great news and sticking to schedules :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck Good luck Good luck!! I'm happy those little eggs are growing!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck for tomorrow! I'm so sorry this is dragging out. Yay for four!!
ReplyDeleteYay! 4 good looking and nice growing follies in there! This is great news! I hope you stay on track and don't have to rearrange any of your travel plans. Your E2 levels are growing very nicely as well....quality is the key. I can't wait to hear more!
