Simplicity

I wish my days could be such a simple, slam-dunk success.

Cute chattering rodent + open windows = one heck of a day for kitty.

Of course screens in the windows are a must or we'd never see kitty or chipmonkey again.

  1. We have a pet door, so our kitty has access to the outside all day (we close it at night). He thinks it's hilarious to bring in mice (still alive, wriggling in his mouth) during a nice dinner with company over (twice already now), or chipmunks...and once even a bird! They're usually alive when he brings them inside - I think he likes having them in a smaller space where he can chase them around. And of course, the dog loves to get in the action. I gotta tell you - it's pretty horrifying to come home to a dead chipmunk in our living room. I've come home to live ones though, too - those little buggers are hard to catch! Our next place will NOT have a pet door (the cat may kill me for that one though) :).

  2. Your cat looks like my kitty...she loves to lay on the bed and watch the leaves and the squirrels.

  3. Hey, I can totally identify! We have a huge tree in our back yard and telephone wires that run along the back of our propery line. It is a squirrel super-highway back there. Our two dogs go absolutely NUTS and will jump and plaster themselves against the sliding glass door wanting out! If we let them out, they run like maniacs this way and that, jumping up against the fence or tree and giving a whole lot of lip to those varmints! Squirrel chittering makes it all that much worse.
