You asked for it, you got it...

One of my goals with this blog used to be to help support and lend advice to ART newbies who may have stumbled upon my blog. Now, apparently, I have switched to terrorizing them. Below is a photo of meds I will be injecting during a single IVF cycle:

Ok, the Crin.one I won't inject (although I supposed it is a form of injection, just not with a needle). I misspoke yesterday - it wasn't 8 boxes of Menopur, it was SIXTEEN!!! Above is assuming I stim for about 10-12 days. Last time I stimmed for 15 days, so I would need to refill a bunch of what you see above.

So, to recap:

You make the call!!

Speaking of calls, got my bloodwoork back on those renegade hormones:
Progesterone: 0.5
E2 109

I'm CD22 today -- since I have short cycles and we know my E2 is unfortunately elevated, we're assuming I'm at the end of a cycle. They went ahead an scheduled my SIS (saline sonogram) for next Wednesday, the day I'm back. Which also happens to be my birthday. Nothing says Happpy Birthday like a catheter and some salt water in your nether regions, huh?

I have to pray AF shows up in the next few days so that the SIS can actually be accomplished with the thin lining it so craves. We're always praying for something, huh?

Off to San Fran in the morning! I'm going to try to post from the airplane just so that I could say I did!

  1. That is hands down the BEST meds pic I have ever seen. You have struck the perfect balance between art and terror.

Here's to hoping that this is your cycle and that AF actually cooperates.

Incidentally, that is one good looking kitchen.

  7. Dang, that is a nice looking kitchen. Good thing babies are cute.

I know that is a sh*tload of meds, but whenever I see the IVF meds spreads I also think about how that is such a sh*tload of excessive packaging.

  8. OH.MY.GOD.
Your meds pic makes my meds pic look like it's just a day of your meds :)
Holy Crap ... that is a lot of Gona.l-F and Meno.pur..
You are so freakin' creative. Lining up those meds on the staircase like that. I love it.

Have fun in San Fran girlie! Sending AFCH vibes your way.

  9. Goodness, girl! That is quite a scary picture indeed. It sort of signals the truth about IF...one step at a time. I'm hoping AF comes soon for you so you can get going. Have a great time in SF!

  10. That is one scary Halloween pic! I thought I was on a lot of meds! What's your protocol? Mine is Menopur 150iu & Follistim (same as GonalF) 450iu/day. I'll be doing Cetrotide instead of Ganerelix, but they are essentially the same too. Looks like we will be cycling together!
